Every time I see & hear this kind of news, I feel proud of being Indian.
I see, It was lockdown due to the virus the first time, but we had floods, earthquakes etc., where a human needed another human’s help. As soon as people get to know some people need help, everyone is coming front foot to help everybody.
Be it the private sector or government sector; they come up very quickly with financial and food aid. Even political parties keep politics aside and help all people. Many NGOs, Temples, and Social groups have come together to start supporting people in need.
Of course, the government announces and provides aid, but it takes time to reach needy people. But every Indian has the same feeling to support people in need. We are not an economically strong country that will expect the government to take care of everything. We understand it’s our job to support, although we all have different capacities.
Big companies announce crores of donations, and citizens donate a small amount which makes crores of rupees support to tackle this situation.
More than money, the best part is that people give food and shelter without thinking of religion and caste.
No matter how educated or fancy we get in our lifestyle. Now & there will be situations in the future to show humanity. It’s Indian culture to help people in need before considering ourselves; let’s not vanish it by just thinking of ourselves.
If you see a needy, it’s the right time to prove humanity. We have shelter and adequate food with us in our home. Those stuck on roads, stations etc., wanted to go home but could not. Please provide them with sufficient food and shelter for the next few days. Please make them aware of the virus and precautions they should take in their native language.
I don’t know how many days of lockdown will be there or how bad the situation will be in the future, but our generation should come as a volunteer to support the government, police & hospitals if they need support.
